What it does, and what it doesn't.
We would rather tell you the edges of this thing up front than let you find them later. Here is the work it is built to handle, and the lines we draw on purpose. If a line matters to your business, you will know before you sign up.
What it does
The work the AI receptionist is built to take off your desk.
Answers your phone, around the clock.
It picks up around the clock, in a natural conversation. It greets callers, answers questions about your business, books appointments against your live calendar, takes messages, and routes or transfers calls by rules you set. Every call opens by stating that the caller is speaking with an AI and that the call is recorded.
Built for small businesses that lose money to missed calls.
We specialize in small businesses (typically under 10 employees) and service professionals: law firms, accounting and tax practices, real estate, and home-service businesses. We are also expanding to support other small businesses and self-employed individuals.
Handles more than one call at once.
We provision a dedicated cloud number for your AI receptionist, so it can hold more than one conversation at the same time. A busy stretch does not put callers on a busy signal.
Sends you a summary and a transcript after every call.
After each call you get a clear summary and a full transcript by email on every plan, and by text as well on Basic and up. On Standard you also get delivery through one channel of your choice: Slack, WhatsApp, or Teams.
What it doesn't do
The lines we draw on purpose. If any of these matter to you, read them first.
It is not HIPAA compliant, and it is not for health information.
We do not sign Business Associate Agreements or operate under HIPAA today, and the service should not be used to collect, store, or transmit protected health information. Please keep diagnoses, treatment, medical history, and insurance or coverage details out of the call and the intake.
It is not built for healthcare practices.
Dental, medical, and mental-health practices should choose a HIPAA-compliant, BAA-backed provider built for that purpose. Calls that belong in a clinical setting are deflected rather than handled here.
It serves US clients on US-hosted infrastructure.
The service is hosted in the United States and is offered to US clients. It is not set up to onboard businesses outside that footprint today.
It does not create voiceprints or identify anyone by voice, and it does not keep audio forever.
We never use recordings to create a voiceprint or to identify anyone by their voice. Call audio is kept about 90 days and then deleted (clips that evidence a caller's consent or relate to an active dispute are kept longer). Transcripts stay available for the life of your account and are deleted within 14 days of cancellation.
It does not connect to every piece of software out of the box.
Your calendar connects for live booking during the call. Trade and industry software varies more, so we handle those case by case: tell us what you run at the consultation and we will say plainly what we can connect today and what we cannot yet.
It does not make outbound calls or texts without consent in place.
Outbound features are consent-gated. We do not turn them on until the consent and opt-out rules that apply to that kind of outreach are in place.
